Dr. Carrie Adams is the director of the Restoration and Plant Ecology laboratory at the University of Florida. She is also a professor in the Horticultural Sciences Department. Her primary research interests include applied plant ecology, wetland restoration, wetland ecology, restoration horticulture, plant conservation, invasive species control, native species establishment, revegetation of disturbed lands, and effects of disturbance on plant communities and ecosystem function. Dr. Adams also works with UF/IFAS Extension and Florida Sea Grant to promote solutions in coastal and aquatic restoration.

Dr. Adams as a B.S. in Environmental Resources Management, Pennsylvania State University, an MS in Ecology, Pennsylvania State University, and a Ph.D. in Water Resources Science, University of Minnesota.
