Jared Franklin is an Environmental Specialist at Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve, and is responsible for invasive species control, listed species management, and prescribed fire. Prior to joining the Stewardship Department at Rookery Bay, Jared worked for the Florida Panther and Ten Thousand Islands National Wildlife Refuges, the University of North Carolina, and the Cape Leopard Trust in South Africa.

Jared earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from Messiah College in Grantham, Pennsylvania.
