Joe is a recognized expert witness in small claims, civil, criminal, and eminent domain courts of law. He has been involved as an expert in over 900 litigation assignments.

Joe was the founding president of the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA), Florida Chapter, and sat on the Board of Directors for six years as the Consultant’s Representative. He is the Florida Chapter, ISA Licensure Committee Chair. He is also a past president of Association of Eminent Domain Professionals (AEDP).

He received the Edward W. Bok award for recognition of lifetime achievement in the excellence of arboriculture. Joe’s abstracts on tree assessments were selected for presentation at four (4) International Tree Conferences. His formula for appraising the value of roadside vegetation was included in Rule Chapter 14-40 of the Florida Highway Beautification Act.

Joe is a prolific and engaging speaker and facilitator of seminars. His presentations are recognized for continuing education units for the Construction Industry Licensing Board (CILB), the Society of Professional Engineers (SPE) , the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the American Society of Consulting Arborists (ASCA), Department of Insurance and other professional organizations.
