Dr. Teagan Young is a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Florida. Tegan has worked in the green industry, specializing in climate-resilient landscape design, native plant propagation, and urban tree research. Her work spans applied research, teaching, and extension—developing science-based solutions for sustainable, ecologically responsible landscapes. Tegan has led multi-site trials on urban tree performance, created native plant production protocols, and designed Florida-Friendly landscapes that prioritize biodiversity, water conservation, and long-term resilience.

Tegan has a Ph.D. in Environmental Horticulture, University of Florida.
