Carl started Coastal Botanics in 2003 in his backyard. With the help of his wife Jennifer, Coastal Botanics has become a key wholesale supplier of cold hardy palms, select agaves, bamboos and grasses for specialty re-wholesalers, garden centers and landscapers throughout the southeastern U.S. Carl began his 33 years of nursery industry experience working at Jon’s nursery and later served as General Manager at Chestnut Hill nursery from 1996 until 2007, growing fruit trees, flowering trees and native trees. Both Jon’s and Chestnut Hill Nursery are two of the finest, privately owned ornamental plant nurseries in Florida. In 2009, Carl worked with Pete Dunnington and Steve Griffin to develop the now widely accepted quality standard regenerated growing process for the Sabal palm, improving sustainability for collected, harvested Sabals. Carl has a degree in Business and Finance from the University of Florida.My Sessions
