In this program, Alex and Davis, Wilcox Nursery’s dynamic duo, will be discussing the tried and true native plants that form the bedrock of a good native landscape. As the horticulture and landscape industry trends more and more towards native plants, a palate of native plants have solidified themselves as the ‘native replacement’ for common exotic plants; these are the plants that our duo will show off during this presentation. In addition, they will be discussing some up-and-coming native plants that have been tested in landscapes and increasing in availability which will add another layer of interest to your projects.

This presentation will discuss tested, native alternatives for common, sometimes overplanted exotic plants. Any designer or nursery will gain value by understanding the versatility of these plants, either for use as a new flavor in a design or as a product offering in-store. The demand for these plants is undeniable, and adding them as a tool in their toolbelt will help any green industry business expand their offerings and grow!
