There are multiple coffee shops, restaurants, small stores and walkable streets. Stetson is a nationally ranked private university founded in 1883. You’ll see traditionally styled red brick buildings on the campus, graced with big, beautiful native trees and palms.
All indoor classes take place in the Stetson Room in the Carlton Union Building (CUB), a pleasant, shaded 10-15 minute walk from the parking lot. Golf cart available for those needing assistance.

The 2025 Central Florida Classics micro credential focuses on essential identification, selection, use and maintenance information for 16 trees and 4 palms proven for use in Central Florida (and other regions of the state). Some of these species can be found on the Stetson University campus, which features many magnificent mature southern shade trees and palms. FANN’s micro credentials make it easy for you to build your native plant knowledge every year, focusing on the best natives for landscape use and benefitting from the wisdom and experience of native plant professionals who have used these plants for years. Use your digital badge to promote your new native knowledge to customers and employers.
ADD the micro credential option to your two-day registration for just $75 additional. Program limited to 40 applicants. Two day registration required.
