NATIVE LANDSCAPE SUCCESS: EXAMPLES TO LEARN FROM
Special closing event at the FANN Native Plant Seminar
3:30pm Thursday, November 6, 2025 at Stetson University in DeLand FL
WHAT & WHY
One-hour native landscape showcase presentation inspiring seminar attendees to use more native plants in their landscape projects. FANN seeks to:
- Showcase 3-5 high quality native landscapes (residential or commercial)
- Promote FANN members
- Support peer-to-peer education to advance the use of native plants
In addition, projects will be featured on all FANN channels: websites, social media, email and print publications.
WHO can participate
Our preference is that a FANN member is involved with the project as designer, installer or maintenance firm.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
Submit project name, brief description, list of native plants used by botanical name, photos and, if available, landscape plan. Projects and photos submitted must be:
- aesthetically appealing – immediately communicate an attractive composition of native plants
- visually dominated by native plants – no non-natives stealing the show
- planted primarily with species native to the region
- mature (at least two years old, older is better)
- free of invasive species (consult UF/IFAS Assessment AND FISC.org )
Project descriptions should identify notable challenges or other interesting aspects of the work.
Participants can submit multiple projects – call us to discuss.
Participants will be asked to present the project at the seminar, or delegate someone to do so.
FANN will email form and link for upload.
