Florida Silver Palm, Coccothrinax argentata

Like most Florida native palms, Florida’s Silver Palm is easy to install and requires little maintenance once fully established. A native of the Florida Keys and Monroe County north to Palm Beach County, Florida Silver Palm is drought tolerant, likes sandy soil and full sun, is a small slow-growing palm with a silver underside to its green fronds. You can remove dead fronds as needed but leave the green fronds. Birds eat the fruits, flowers attract pollinators and this palm is host for the Monk Skipper.
