Call for Course Proposals 2019 Native Plant Show

FANN’s Education Committee is looking for people to provide educational programs at our 7th annual Native Plant Show Thursday & Friday, November 7-8, 2019 at Mounts Botanical Garden in West Palm Beach. This education event combines classes and plant exhibits to highlight the beauty, functionality and diversity of native plants now available and showcase Florida’s native plant industry.

AUDIENCE: Landscape architects, designers, landscapers/installers and retailer/garden center professionals are our top target for this education event, but we also engage environmental professionals, community association managers, growers and the gardening public at the show.

Our primary interest is programs that focus on the selection, use and maintenance of native plants, but we also welcome other programs related to industry best practices and sustainability.

HOW TO SUBMIT COURSE PROPOSAL submit a brief course proposal online or, if you prefer, download a Word form. To submit the Word form or an existing course description, please contact us for instructions.

Our course proposal process helps the Education Committee: understand course possibilities and availability, understand your interest in participating review, select and schedule courses prepare continuing education credit application forms, and engage with prospective instructors in a way that is time efficient for volunteers.

FRIDAY MAY 31 is the DEADLINE to submit course proposals.  This will enable our committee to review all proposals and make final selections by early June, contact instructors for further details needed and submit our courses to the state for approval in time to begin our marketing and registration activities.

FANN is a licensed provider of continuing education for Florida registered landscape architects and community association managers. We also work with Florida Chapter ISA and the FNGLA to provide continuing education for their certified professionals.
